Examination Text | Francis Core aged 65 years in the workhouse aforesaid upon his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that his Father Francis Core was a Tallow Chandler by trade and lived in and rented a house near Burleigh Street in the Strand in the Parish aforesaid for several years at the yearly rent of 30 pounds besides taxes, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes after he quitted the aforesaid house. Taken in the workhouse the 29th January 1766. |
