| Examination Text | Margaret Hudson aged 60 years and upwards in the workhouse of aforesaid upon her oath saith that she is the widow of James Hudson (who died several years ago) to whom she was married at the after the manner of the Church of Rome [blank] years ago, that her said husband lived in and rented a house the corner of Bucks Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for several years at the yearly rent of 40 pounds besides taxes, that he never kept house or tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes after he quitted the aforesaid house, nor hath she this Examinant nor been a yearly hired servant since the death of her said husband. Taken the workhouse of 29th January 1766. |
