Examination TextMary Darwell aged 32 years saith that her last settled lodging was at one Mrs Connelly who lodges at a house in tenements in Plough Court in the parish where she lodged near three months, that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to one Nelson, a Barber and Peruke Maker in Hedge Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields whom she there served the space of eight years, had 40 shillings by the year wages diet and lodging, that she came from thence near 10 years ago and hath never lived a year in any service since or ever kept house nor rented 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes. Sworn the ninth day of November 1738 before me Val Hilder.
