Examination Text | Anne Campbell aged about 32 years in the workhouse saith that she was married to her late husband Robert Campbell (who died two years ago) at the Hand and Pen in Fleet Lane upwards of nine years since, that he was by two trade a Glazier and was bound an apprentice by indenture for seven years to one Mr Clark in Earls Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields whom he there served about six years, and then went away never was turned over to any other Person never kept any house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant since, that she hath two children by him to wit Duncan aged about eight years (in the workhouse), and John aged three years, with her husband's mother in Carnaby Market, and that she this Examinant never was married since the said husband's death. |
