Examination TextCatherine Mitchell aged 59 years in the workhouse saith that she is the widow of James Mitchell who died 15 years ago to whom she was married at St Martin's Church near 30 years ago and has two daughters living that is to say Catherine aged 24 years, a servant to Mrs Carter in Maiden Lane, and Sarah aged 19, a servant in New Street by Fetter Lane, that her husband was a Taylor and served his time in Scotland where he was born, and that when he came to London he was a Covenant Servant to Mr Edmonds, a Taylor opposite the Bell and Dragon in Shandois Street for four years and there served him that time before he married his first wife as she hath heard him say, and that he never kept any house rented 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes nor she this Examinant since his death.
