Examination TextHenry Yates aged 60 years lodging at John Robins in Whitcomb Street saith that he is a widower and hath so been 10 years, saith he kept house next Sir Robert Chaplin in Castle Street 14 years of the yearly rent of 16 pounds and also after that lived in and rented another house next Mr Baker's in the same street seven years and paid 16 pounds by the year rent, quitted the same nine or 10 years ago and never rented any other house or apartment at the yearly rent of 10 pounds since, that he hath by Elizabeth his late late wife (who died 10 years ago) two children to wit John aged 33 years, a Shoemaker who never was an apprentice a yearly hired servant or housekeeper or ever hired by the year but learned his trade of him this Examinant, and Elizabeth aged 23, now or lately in service in St Margaret Westminster being a single woman.
