Examination Text | Ann Palmer aged 25 years removed from the parish St. John the Evangelist in Westminster saith that she was never married, that she was bound an apprentice by indenture for five years to one Mrs Carwell a Washerwoman who lived near St George's Fields in the Parish of St. Mary at Lambeth in the County of Surry and there served out all her time which expired about seven years ago, that since which she was a yearly hired servant to one Mr. Besland who was Governor of the City Hospital and who kept house in Scotland Yard in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields whom she there served two years, had 4 pounds by the year wages diet and lodging, came thence about the year ago and never kept any house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or lived about five or six months in any one service since. |
