Examination TextMary Rogers aged 42 years lodging last night in the Parish of St Andrew Holborn and before that at several places in the parish where she lodged near a year saith she is the wife of Robert Rogers (who is now confined in the Marshalsea till he pays his fees), that she was married to him by one Mr Wigmore at a private house in the Fleet near eight years ago, that he is by trade and Shoemaker and that they kept house near Chequer Court in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and paid 26 pounds per ann. rent for the same and taxes, that they quitted the said house about five years ago and hath not kept any house rented 10 pounds per ann. paid any parish taxes, that she hath no children. Sworn the 29th day of September 1739 before me Val Hilder.
