Examination TextJohn Maltman aged 45 years in the workhouse saith is a Taylor by trade and that he was never bound an apprentice to that or any other business but learnt the same his Father, that he was a yearly hired servant to John Netterville Esq who lives near Coventry Court in the Haymarket where he there served two years, had 4 pounds the first year 5 pounds the second and diet and lodging, left that service about 25 years ago and never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant since, he was married to Elizabeth his wife in St Martin's Church eight years ago and has three children by her to wit Sarah aged seven years, William near five years and Robert one year, all passed with him from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields.
