Examination Text | Thomas Scott aged near 51 years lodging at one Mrs. Holley's in Legg Alley in Long Acre where he hath lodged half a year saith he is by trade a Bricklayer and was bound apprentice by indenture for 7 years to his father, Richard Scott a Bricklayer who then lodged at the Crown alehouse in Long Acre near Mercer Street where with whom he served all his said apprenticeship which expired 26 years ago, since which he hath not kept any house rented £10 per ann. paid any parish taxes or been a yearly hired servant, and that he lodged at the Crown alehouse aforesaid all his said apprenticeship, that he was married to Hannah his wife at th Fleet Chapel 25 years ago and hath three children by her to wit Edward aged 23 years, who served his time and Edward Scott this Examinant's brother a Bricklayer in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square, Mary aged 22 years, the wife of David Bellows who served his time to his Uncle David Bellows a Colourman in Long Acre who is now gone to sea as a Mariner, and Elizabeth aged 16 years, who is a yearly servant to a Milliner the corner of Mount Street in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square aforesaid.
