Examination TextJoseph Ellison aged about 23 years lodging at one Mr McGuion's in New Bolton Street in the Parish of St Giles in the Fields where he hath lodged about three weeks saith he is by trade a Cork Cutter and was bound apprentice to and served his time with one Mr Avan, a Cork Cutter in the city of Chester which expired seven years ago since which he hath not kept any house rented 10 pounds per ann. or paid any parish taxes, that he hath been about four years past a yearly hired servant to Mr Mason, a Cork Cutter in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and had 10 pounds per ann. wages and diet but found himself in lodging, and that he never was a yearly hired servant before.
