Examination Text | John Goodfells aged about 40 years (in the workhouse being removed from St Margaret Westminster) saith is a Cordwainer by trade and was bound apprentice by indenture for seven years to one Robert Vandersield a Cordwainer who then lived in Mulberry Court in Coleman Street London where he served him about half a year, and then his master removed and took house in Thackham Court in Vine Street where he served him about three years more, that then his master removed and took house in Moors Yard in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields where he served him all the remainder of his said apprenticeship which expired about 20 years ago, since which he hath not kept any house rented 10 pounds per ann. paid any parish taxes or been a yearly hired servant, is a widower and hath no child living.
