Examination TextElizabeth Pain aged about 25 Years at the Workhouse passed from St Giles's Saith she is the Wife of Thomas Pain; That she was Married to him at the ffleet about two Years agoe, Saith he is by Trade at Taylor, That he was bound and Apprentice by Indre for Seven Years to one Mr Bilford in Charles Court in the Strand & Served his said Master there about Six Years and then his Master left off his Business and they Parted by Consent which was about twenty Years agoe, Since which he was never a Yearly hired Servant or Housekeeper or Rented £10 by the Year, or paid any Parochial Taxes to any Parish hath no Children, but is great with Child. Note his Mother Rebeccah pain Saith that he Served his fulll time in Charles Court And that she never was a Yearly hired Servant or Housekeeper or Rented £10 by the Year since
