Examination TextEsther Evans aged about 56 Years Lodging in Kinnaston's Alley in Bedfprd Bury Saith she is the Widow of John Evans who died about five Months agoe, That she was married to him at the ffleet five years the 23d Day of April last, Saith he was a Welshman, That he Served his time in Wales, Was never a yearly hired Servant before marriage with her as she knowieh or an Housekeeper before or since, Saith she was (when she Married him) the Window of Benjamin Lewis who was Born in White Cross Street in the Parish of St Giles without Cripplegate London, That he was bound an Appren for Seven Years to one Nathaniel Baker a Coach Painter in Long Acre and Served his said Master there the whole Term she being a Servant to his said Master a year before his time expired which was about 32 or 33 Years agoe, before which she Married him, Saith he never kept house, That he never Rented £10 by the year or paid any Parochial Taxes to any Parish has four Children by him Rebeccah aged about 29 Years Married to a Journeyman Shoemaker in the Country Charles Lewis aged about 26 Years a Journeyman Shoemaker Married Benjamin about 24 Years a Weaver now out of Business & John aged 21 Years an Appren to Mr Carter the Shoemaker in Crown Court St: James's
