Examination TextIsaac Selfe aged about 31 Years at the Workhouse passed from St Andrew Holbourn in Middx, Saith he was Married to ffrances his Wife at the ffleet Eleven Years the first Day of July last And that Mr Hill a Guilder in Turn Stile Holbourn gave them in Marriage, That he is by Trade a Leather Cloggmaker, Saith he was bound an Apprentice by Indre for Seven Years toone Mr Edward Langton a Shoemaker who then lived agst: Dirty Lane in Long Acre and Served his said Master there two Years and an half and then they parted by Consent, he not liking the Trades but there was no Exchange of Indres, That the said Mr Langton's Widow now lives in Long Acre when (he believes has that part of the Indentures which is under his hand & seal, Saith after he left his said Master he agreed & gave Three pounds to one Mr Cox who then lived in Dean Street as likewise agreed to give him a Year's Service to learn him the Art of Clogmaking, But left him after he had Served him upwards of half a Year, paying him for the remainder of the said Years Service, That he never was turned over, bound an Appren, or a yearly hired Servant a whole Year together to any Person since he left the said Edward Langton, Saith he never kept house, That he never Rented £10 by the Year or paid any Parochial Taxes to any Parish hath one Child Joseph aged about six Months Removed since from St: Giles's
