Examination TextMary Mandosia aged about 69 years lodging in a cellar facing the French Chapel in Orange Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith she was married to her late husband John Mandosia (who died 12 years ago) in the Fleet Chappell 20 years since, that when she this Examinant married him he was a yearly hired servant to one Colonel Holley who lived in the Mews in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and had so been five years at the yearly wages of 8 pounds and 7 pounds per week board wages and continued to serve him one year after marriage at the same wages, during which time they lodged at one Mr Howell's, as Victualler in Green Street in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, since which he nor she this Examinant hath kept house rented 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes, and that she this Examinant hath not intermarried with any person since her said husband's death or been a yearly hired servant a year together in any place, hath no children. Sworn the 16th Day of January 1742 before me James Fraser.
