Examination TextNicholas Rowe aged 38 years and upwards lodging at one Mr Rice's a Barber in Clare Market saith that he is a Barber and Perewig Maker by trade and served his time at Exeter Street, that he was a yearly hired servant to one Francis Cornett who lived in White Hart Yard next door to the sign of the Artichoake there in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields within the liberty of Westminster where he continued to serve the said Cornett under one hiring upwards of three years at the yearly wages of 10 pounds and diet and lodging, that he left that service about seven years ago and has never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or been a yearly hired servant since, and further saith that he never was married. Sworn the [blank] day of [blank] 1743 before [blank].
