Examination Text | John Wayland aged 21 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields saith that he was born in the Broad Way in the Parish of St Margaret Westminster, that he was bound an apprentice by indenture for seven years to one James Allen, a Blacksmith near Round Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all his time which expired on New Year's Day last since which he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or hath been a yearly hired servant, and this Examinant further saith that he never was married.
