Examination TextElizabeth Jeffreys aged 30 years lodging at one Mrs Thomas in Princes Court in Hedge Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields saith she is the wife of John (who has been gone from her one year and [an] half) to whom she was married at the Kings Head in the Fleet about four years ago, that he was a Staymaker by trade and lived in and rented a shop at Charing Cross in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for about two years at about 12 pounds per ann., quitted it about two years ago and never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant afterwards, that she hath no child. Sworn the 10th day of January 1745 before James Fraser.
