Examination TextMary Pearcy aged 40 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields says she is the widow of John Pearcy (who died about seven years ago) to whom she was married at St Clement Danes about 15 years ago, that he was a Taylor by trade and was bound apprentice by indenture for the space of seven years to one Mr Powell in Hungerford Markett in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served him all the whole time, don't know when it expired, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant, nor she this Examinant since her said husband's death, that she hath one child by him now living to wit Mary aged 13 years now with one Mrs Higgins in Grays Inn Lane.
