This Indenture Wittnesseth That Edward Clarke< no role > & Hugh Mills< no role > Churchwardens
William Bine< no role > Charles Prattin< no role > William Dodd< no role > & Edward Walter< no role > Overseers of the
poore of the parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx with the assent
of Hugh Chamberlen< no role > & Leonard Hancock< no role > Esqrs . Justices of the peace for the Sd
County & for the Citty & Liberty of Westmr. according to the Statute in that
case made & pvided have putt Frances Taft< no role > and Apprentice to John Wilson< no role >
Lawyer and with him to dwell & serve after the manner of an apprentice from
the day of the date hereof untill the full end & terme of Eight yeares from
thence next ensueing & fully to be compleate & ended Dureing all which
said terme wee the Said Churchwardens & Overseers of the poore Doe
Order & appointe (with the assent aforesaid) that the said apprentice well & faithfully shall
Serve her Said Master his Secretts keepe his Comands lawfull & honest
every where gladly doe hurt to her said Mar. Shee Shall not doe nor cause
it to be done of others but prvent it if Shee may or else from time to time
admonish him thereof the goods of her Said Mar. Shee Shall not wast
nor them to any body lend without his consent neither from his Service
by day or Night Shall not absent herself Taverns or Alehouses Shee
Shall not frequent at cards dice or any other unlawfull game Shee
Shall not play but in all things as a good & faithfull Servant ought
to doe Shall behave herself towards her Said Mar. and all his dureing
the Said terme And the Said John Wilson< no role > shall teach & instruct
or cause to be taught & instructed his Said Apprentice in Houswifree
the best he may or cann and Shall give to & pvide for his sd apprentice
Sufficient Meate drinck washing lodging apparell linnen & all other
necessaryes meet & convenient for such an apprentice dureing the Said terme
And for the true performance of all the Articles informe aforesaid to be
kept the Said parties to these Prsent Indentures bind themselves each to
other by these prsents In witnesse to hereof the Said parties to these prsent
Indentures have Interchangeably sett their hands & Seales the sixteenth
day of December in the Fifth yeare of the Reigne of King William &
Queene Mary over England Etc. Annoqz Dui 1693
