This Indenture witnesseth That Jeremiah Brodgate< no role > & John Smith< no role >
Churchwardens Robt Marriott< no role > Ralph Alport< no role > Willam Till< no role > & Wm. Fisher< no role > Overseers of the
poore of the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx with the Assent of
Albion Chare & Hugh Chamberline< no role > Esqrs . Justices of the peace for the County of Middx
and Citty & Liberty of Westmr . according to the statute in that case made & provided
Hane putt Thomas Clement< no role > apprentice to Henry Larsons< no role > & with him after ye. manner
of an apprentice to dwell & Serve from the day of the date here of unto the full end &
terme of Nine yeares from thence next ensueing & fully to be compleate & ended
dureing all which said terme wee the Church Wardens & Overseers of the poore with
the assent aforesd doe order & appointe the said Thomas Clement< no role > well & faithfully his
said Mar. shall Serve his Secretts keepe his Comandamts. lawfull & honest every where
shall gladly doe hurt to his said Mar: he shall not doe or consent to be done of others
but that he to his power shall prvent the same or else from time to time admonish
him there of the goods of his said Mar: he shall not wast nor them to any body lend
without his consent neither from hs service by day or night shall not absent himself
Taverns or Alehouses he shall not frequent on lesse it be about his Mar: businesse there to
be done at Cards dice or any other unlawfull game he shall not play whereby his Mar:
may receive any Prjudice Fornicacon he shall not comitt Matrimony dureing the said
terme he shall not contract but in all things as a good & faithfull Servt. ought to doe
shall behave himself towards his said Mar & all his dureing the said terme
And the said Henry Larsons< no role > shall teach & instruct his said apprentice in the Act of a
victualler which he now useth according to his best Skill & knowledge And shall give
to & provide for his said apprentice Sufficient meate drinck washing lodging
apparell linnen & all other necessaryes meete & convenient for such an apprentice
dureing the said terme And for the true performance of all the Articles in
forme aforesaid to be kept the said parties to these Prsent Indentures bind
themselves each to other by these prsents Inwitnesse whereof the parties
to these prsent Indentures Interchangeably have sett their hands & seales
the 27th day of August in the Second yeare of the reigue of King William
And Queene Mary over England & Annoqr Dui 1690
