This being the Day appointed for the Election of a Lecturer of
this Parish in the Room of The Revd. Mr. Isacah Jones< no role >
resigned
accompanied with a Letter to The Parishioners commending the
Revd. Stephen Popham< no role >
Master of Arts to him and no
one Offering himself a Candidate except the said Mr. Popham
A Motion made by Mr. Rainforth and seconded by several
Gentlemen present that the said Mr. Popham shod. succeed the
said Mr. Jones as Lecturer of this Parish and on his being
put up He the said Mr. Popham was unanimously Chosen
Lecturer of this Parish in the Room of the said Mr. Jones.
The Vestry on Mr. Chessalls report took into Consideration a
Bill intended to be Esqr
. into Parliament concerning the Paving
&c this Parish and on his the said Mr. Chessalls report the
same was Adjourned to this Day Sennett at 6 oClock-Also
the Advertizement Concerning E O Tables & other disorderly
Houses.
