Read & Auditted the Churchwardens Accts. of Burials for
the Month of Septr. last amounting to the Sum of £5..15..3
At the same time Read & Auditted the Overseers Accounts for
the same Month amounting to the Sum of-£340..10..0
Resolved and Agreed that the 3d. Rate for the necessary
Relief of the Poor be at 6d. in the Pound Rents & that the Vestry
Clerk rate the Books accordingly.
The Vestry afterwards taking into Consideration the heavy
Debts that the late Overseers had incurr'd of 650s & upwards
due to sevl. Tradesmen and being willing to grant the present
Overseers a larger Rate so as to discharge in part those Debts
The Overseers Objected thereto saying it was not their Business
to discharge the late Overseers Debts and therefore the above
Resolve was carried into Execution.
