At a Meeting of the Committee Elected and appointed pursuance
to an Act of Parliament intitled An Act to amend and
render more effectual several Acts of Parliament relating
to Paving Cleansing and Lighting the Square Streets
Lanes and other Places within the City and Liberty of
Westminster
and parts adjacent" in the Vestry Room of
Saint Clement Danes
the 17th. July 1771

Proposed and Unanimously agreed that Mr. Kitchiner take the Chair
The Minutes of the last Meeting Read and Confirmed
Ordered that Bills be forthwith Printed and dispersed giving no [..]
to the several Inhabitants that in Case any Person shall take carry
or Convert to his her or their own Use or Uses any Stones Posts or
materials in the several Streets Courts Lanes and other Places in the
Parish that the Person offending therein will be Prosecuted by the
Committee pursuant to the Act of Parliament And that if any Person
or Persons have already taken up any Stones Posts or other Material
and do not forthwith return the same to the place from whence to
and make good the Pavement and all other Damage such Person
will be Prosecuted in like manner
Ordered that this Committee do agree with William Arpin to
give him three pence half penny for Painting each Lamp Iron three
times in Oil
Ordered that the Supervisor do dispose of such of the
Useless Stones and old Materials as shall Remain after Paveing
Milford Lane and little Essex Street and the Stone and Wood Post
in Carey Street Serle Street Portugal Street & Portsmouth
Street
as they are now standing Reserving such Posts as will be
Usefull for the corner of the Streets
