to wit Sarah Hicks< no role > Singlewoman
aged twenty Years or thereabouts upon
her Oath saith that she never was married
nor did ever do any Act whereby to gain any
Settlement in her own right, that her father
John Hicks< no role > who is a Copperplate Printer sei [..] ed
his Apprenticeship to Mr. Hawkins of Little
Shire Lane in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes
in the County of Middlesex Printer and since he
so served the same hath not as this Deponent
is informed and believes acquired any other Settlement
than in the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes
And further this Examinant on her Voluntary
Oath saith that she is now pregnant with a
Child or Children which is or are likely to be
born a Bastard or Bastards and to be Chargeable
to the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes, and
that one John Collins< no role > who now works with Mr
Wilton of Carey Street Coal Dealer is the real and true
father of such Child or Children of which she is so pregnant
he the said John Collins< no role > having had carnal knowledge
of this Examinants Body in the Months of
June, July August and September last and at several
times, since at some or one of which times he the
said John Collins< no role > did beget the said Child or Children where with
the this Examinant is so pregnant, and that he the
said John Collins< no role > and no one else is the real and
true father thereof.
Man gave a Joint Note of Hand to pay 2s. P week
