to wit Sarah Fairbrother< no role > aged about
29 years upon her Oath saith that she
never was married lived as a hired Yearly servant
for Twelve Months or otherwise obtained any
legal settlement in her own Right That she has been
informed which Information she verily believes to be
true that her father is a Parishioner of the Parish of
Epsom in the County of Surrey by living as an hired
yearly Servant with Mr. Stewart at Horton within
the said Parish while he was single and unmarried
And this Deponent further upon her Oath saith that
on the 5th. day of August last she was delivered of a
Female Bastard Child at a house belonging to Mr.
Richardson in Clements Lane which hath since
been Christened by the Name of Catherine< no role > That one
Richard Middleton< no role > a Post Boy who lives at the Sign
of the Horse Shoe and Magpye in Burleigh Street in
the Strand is the father thereof he having had carnal
knowledge of this Examinants Body and begotten
the same thereon and that the said Richard
Middleton
< no role > and no other Person did beget the same
and that he is the only real and true father thereof
