The Examination of Jno. Lewis< no role > living in ye. Parish,
of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx Taken
the 16th. Day of February 1740 Who upon his Oath
saith yt. about Ten Years ago [..] he lived with one
Mrs. Francis in Clare Markett in ye. sd. Parish of St.
Clemt. Danes Fishmonger as a Yearly hired Servt . for the space
of three Years at the Yearly Wages of Twelve
Pounds, And this Examinant further on his Oath
saith yt. he hath not since he left his sd. Mistress
Rented Ten Pounds a Year paid Parish Taxes lived
with any other Person as a Yearly hired Servt.
for the space of one Year or otherwise gained
a Settlement in any other Place to his
knowledge or beleife that he is now Poor &
Sick & not able to maintaine himselfe.
