Westmr.

to wit Lucy Dowland< no role > Aged about Twenty Six Years on
her Oath Says she Intermarried with Richard Dowland< no role > This name instance is in a workspace.
at the Parish Church of St. Giles in the Fields in the County
of Middlesex upwards of Two Years Ago and who was soon
Afterwards transported Vizt. the 21st. May 1773 and has not
been in England Since to her knowledge or belief Says that
her said Husband was born in Swallow Street St. James where
her said Husbands Father kept a House as she has often heard
her said Husband declare and never gained any other Subseqt.
Settlement either by renting House paying Taxes or living a
hired Yearly Servant for one Year And further upon her
Voluntary Oath Says that on the 25th. of August last past
she was delivered of a Female Bastard Child in Holles
Street in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the Liberty of
Westmr . which has since been Christned by the name of
Lucy< no role > and is become Chargable to the same she being Poor
and unable to maintain the said Child Sayth that Willm.
Anderson
< no role > at the Castle and Falcon in Little Turn Stile is
the Father thereof he having had Carnal Knowledge of
her Body some time in the Month of December last but that
particular Day she does not now remember and at several
Different times afterwards at one of which times he got her
with Child of the Female Child of which she was so delivered
as aforesaid and that the said Wm. Anderson< no role > and no other
person did beget the same and that he is the real and true
Father thereof
