Oath Says that she was Married to one Thomas
Dowdall
< no role > by a Roman Catholick Priest at a House
in Rosemary Lane near Tower Hill about Ten Years
ago and by whom she hath one Child now living named
Elizabeth< no role > Aged about Six Years and which was born
in the Westminster Hospital and who is now with her
reputed Father at Greenwich in the County of Kent
Says she was born in Queens County in the Kingdom
of Ireland and never gained a Settlement in London either
by rating Ten Pounds a Year paying Taxes or living a
hired Yearly servant for one Year And further upon her
Voluntary Oath Says that an Monday the 2d. Instant show
delivered of a Male Bastard Child in Houghton Street Clare
Market at present cherished is now living and is become Chargable to the said Parish of St. Clement
Danes she being Poor and unable to maintain the same
And further Says that oneMenzie Fishmonger
in Mount Street Grosvener Square is the Father thereof
he having had Carnal knowledge of his Body in a House
the Corner of St. Martins Court Three sevl. times and one
other time in her Mistresses house in Piccadilly some
time in the Month of August or September last but the
particular Days she does not now remember above belief
times he got her with Child of the Child & Children man Bastard Child of which
she was so delivered and that the said Menzie and no
other Person did beget the same and that he is the real and
bone Father thereof
