Sarah Humphrys< no role > Aged about Twenty Three Years
on her Oath Says the never was married Rented House
ever or served any Apprenticeship Says she lived a hired Yearly
Servant with one Mr. Geo who lately kept the Half Moon
and Seven Stars the Corner of Denzell Street in the Parish
of Saint Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westminster for
Two Years & an half or thereabouts at the Yearly Wages
of Forty Shillings for the first Year fifty Two shillings for
the Second and Three Pounds for the third hath quitted her
said Service upwards of five Years ago and hath not since
she quitted the same ever Rented House paid Taxes or lived
a hired yearly Servant for one Year and Further upwards
Volentary Oath says she is Pregnant with Child or Children
which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to
become Chargeable to the said parish she being poor and
unable to maintain the same when born) Says that one
Edward Ward< no role > a Brawn Maker who now lives with his Mother
at No. 6 Baynes's Row Cold Bath Fields is the Father thereof
he having had Carnal knowledge of her Body in July last
the Day after st James Day to the best of her knowledge
and at Sevt. different times afterwards at one of which times
he got her with child of the Child or Children of which she
is now pregnant of and that the said Edward Ward< no role > and
no other person did beget the same and that he is the real
and true Father thereof.
