An Inquisition Indented, taken for our Sovereign
King at the House of John Smith< no role > the Sign of the King, Head James [..]
Margaret within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate
of St. Peter, Westminster , in the County of Middlesex , the fourteenth day of July [..]
in the thirty sixth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the
by the Grace of God, of Great-Britain, France, and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith,
and so forth, before Anthony Gell< no role > , Esq. Coroner of our said Lord the King for the said City
and Liberty, on View of the Body of George Piper< no role > then and there
lying dead, upon the Oath of the several Jurors whose Names are here under written, and
Seals affixed, good and lawful Men of the said Liberty, duly chosen, who being then and
there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the King, when, how, and by
what Means the said George Piper< no role > came to h is Death, do upon
their Oath say that the said George Piper< no role > on the twelfth day of July in the [..]
aforesaid at the Parish and in the Liberty aforesaid To Wit [..]
being at Work on a certain Scaffold erected in the front of the Dwelling [..]
of Mr Mills It so happened that accidentally casually [..]
the said Scaffold gave-way and the said George Piper< no role > To [..]
said Scaffold fell to the Ground and upon a certain Spi [..]
entered the Body of him the said George Piper< no role > on his right Side [..]
Wound of the depth of six Inches and of the breadth of one [..]
which said Mortal Wound he the said George Piper< no role > at [..]
Westminster Infirmary did languish and languishes [..]
until the thirteenth day of July in the year aforesaid [..]
thirteenth day of July in the year aforesaid at the West [..]
Infirmary aforesaid of the said Mortal Wound, [..]
And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid
that the said George Piper< no role > in manner and by [..]
aforesaid accidentally casually and by Misfortune
to his Death and not other wise

IN WITNESS whereof, as well the said Coroner as the said Jurors, have to this Inquisition
set their Hands and Seals the Day, Year, and Place first above written.
