Square in the Parish of St, George Hanover
Square in the Liberty of Westminster . Before
Thos. Prickard< no role > Gentleman His Master Coroner
on View of the Body of James Tretim< no role > lying D [..]

Lawrence Smith< no role > a Soldier in the Cold stream Regiment of
Fool Guards on his Oath Saith that on Wednesday the 23d.
day of June Instant about Three o' Clock in the Afternoon
he and the Deceased James Tretim who was a Soldier in
the same Regiment went into the Serpentine River in
Hyde Park to Bathe the Deponent went in first, and
the Deceased went in directly afterDeponent Swam
to the other sidea young Man named John Jopper< no role > 's also
a Soldier in the same Regiment was sitting on the Bant
and called to Deponent, and said that Tretim would be
DrownedDeponent turned round, and told Tretim to math
toward the Shore, his Mouth appeared to be level with the
Waterthe Deceased turned round to attempt to get toward
Shore, and made two jumps, and after the second the
