o'Clock Dept. rode his Master's Mare into
the Stable Yard belonging to the Golden Cross
Charing Cross
to Water, Says that while
the Mare was drinking Dept. heard some
Water fall down [..] soon after something
fell down which lumped upon the Paven [..]
near him but [..] being dark Dept. could not
sea what it was tho if looked White Says that his Mare
was frightened and went away with him,
Says that he did not then return but was
told that Weight that the Deced had faller
out of a Hayloft and was dead.

on his Oath, That he was fetched last Night
to the Parish Wark house where the Deced
had been removed, and there found the
Deced dead, That he Examined the Deced's
Head and on the back part of it found a
Contusion, which Dept. believes to be the
cause of the Deced's death.
