Room and to give a Guinea to each of
them, which Dept. did accordingly, and
the four women went away, Burnet the
Fidler staying in the Room with Deced, says
that in a few minutes Burnet came down
Stairs, saying that the deced had ordered him
to go down,and would send for him again in
a quarter of an hour, Says that Burnet
in about Twenty Minutes went up Stairs
and returned immediately, Saying, that
there was disagreeable Rhobert in the Room where
Deced was, and supposed the Candles were
fallen down, upon which Dept. went up
Stairs into Deced's Room which smelt
very strong of Gun Powder one of the
Washes being up, Says that the Deced
was Setting in a Chair, bleeding from a
wound on the right side of his Head, his
Cloaths being bloody and much Blood upon
the Floor, Says that he felt the Deced's hand
which was not cold, but he observed no Signs
of Life in the Deced, says that he beleives
the Deced's death was caused by the wound
on the Deced's Head as abovementioned, and
that he gave it to himself by discharging
a loaded Pistol against his Head, and that
he this Dept. then found a Pistol upon the
floor between the Deced's feet, which appeared
to have been discharged, the Cock being down
And this Dept. Says that the Deced has at Times
used the Deced's House many Years, that he
observed the Deced's behaviour at Support afterwards
to

to be very different from what it used to be
making Dept. put Deced's Hat upon the Fielder's
Head, and Says that the Deced did not then
appear to be Intoxicated with Liquor

Richard Burnet< no role > of Exeter Court Strand Fidler
on his Oath Saith That yesterday about Eight
o'Clock in the Evening a Lad came to Dept.
desiring him to come to Mr. Robinson at
the Bedford Arms Covent Garden , & upon his
going there, Mr. Robinson head a Note from
Mr. Damer Desiring Dept. to come there that
Evening about Ten o'Clock, Says that he
went to the Bedford Arms at that hour
but Mr. Damer did not come until half
after Ten, That he supped with some Girls
and Dept. Played upon the Violin, That about
Three o'Clock this Morning the Deced ordered
Dept. to call Mr. Robinson, which he did,
land Deced whispered something to him
and Mr. Robinson immediately called the
Women down Stairs, and n a few Minutes
after the Deced desired this Dept. to go down
Stairs for a Quarter of an hour, and Dept.
accordingly by went down, leaving Deced alone
in the Room as Dept believes, Says that
in about half an hour Dept. went up again
