Elizabeth Dawes< no role > of Russel Street Milkwoman
on the Oath saith, That last Night between
Ten (Eleven o'Clock Dept. was informed by
Mr. Good brand and other Lodgers that a Child
was put down in to her Necessary which
Surprized her much, Says that she went
down with the Women and in the Soil in
the Necessary she saw the Child, Says that
Yesterday Morning about Nine o'clock
a Young Woman with a little Boy asked
leave to go to her Necessary which Dept.
agreed to and they went down Stairs towards
the Necessary being showed the dept. Apprantes Says that in about threen
Minutes another Girl came to Dept. & asked
leave to go to her Necessary having something
in here Apron, Upon Dept. making some Diff [..]
the Girt said that when she came up she wold. buy
a half pennyworth of something, And Deptr
then gave her leave to go, bidding her go to
the End of the Passage and then go down Stairs
Says that the Girl went down, and Dept.
did not see her after wards, nor does Dept.
know that she ever saw the Girl before.

James Mahon< no role > of Great Russel Street Covent
Garden Surgeon & Apothecary on his Oath, saith
That last Night between Eleven and Twelve
o'Clock, he was fetched to the House of Mr. Dawes
in Russel Street where he saw the Deced lye
upon a Table, which he was informed was
found in the Necessary, Says that he Examined
the Child and found that the Vertebrer of the
Meck was Dislocated, but can not say how

that happened, and that no other Marks
of violence appeared, Says that the child
appeared to become to Maturity, the Navel
String being properly tyed, and Dept. believes
that the Child was born alive, and that
he did not appear to be born above four
and twenty hours.
