Magdalene Mageg< no role > a Lodger at Mrs Myneer in
St. Ann's Court on her Oath saith That on Tuesday last
between four and five o'Clock in the Afternoon Dept.
went to Mrs. Rouffee a Lodger at Mr Kirkwoods on the first [..] and
then saw Mrs. Kirkwood standing by her Parlour Door
Says that she stayed there all the Afternoon and
between Seven and eight o'Clock she heard a Noice
of something falling heavily down, below Stairs in
the Same House as Dept. thought, but heard no
Quarrelling or any Person speak at that time
Says that after Eight o'Clock the same Evening sheMr Rouffee
came unto
opened the room Door where Mrs. Rouffee & Dept. were
and that Mr. Rouffee said that Mr. Kirkwood was dead, upon which
Dept. and Mrs. Rouffee went down and in the Bark Parlour
Dept. saw Mrs. Kirkwood lye upon the Floor near the
Window, but Dept. saw no Blood upon the Deced;
Says that she felt the Deceds Hand which was not Cold,
but Deced appeared to be dead. Says that she saw several
Pieces of a broken Chamber pot lye upon the Floor
near the Deced.

Thomas Williams< no role > of Broad Street Surgeon on his
Oath saith That for about three months (Vizt. in March April
and May last) he attended the Deced and her Husband
That the Deced had a small wound in her Fore head in
May whichShe said that she had reced fromwas see [..] ned by her Husband
that he this Dept. dressed and took care of the Wound
which soon healed Says that on Tuesday Morning last
(June 21.) about Two o'Clock he was called up by Mr.
Kirkwood and desired to come to the Deced, who the said
had met with an Accident, a little touch on the Nose,
Says that he went into Deceds Room and found her
in Bed Bleeding at the Nose & Mouth into the Chamber pot, having
a s [..] lling on the Nose which appeared to be a Contusion
Says that he said to Mrs. Kirkwood You Bleed at the
Nose, to which she Answered this comes of Constableing,
Says that she bled very much at the Nose and Dept could
Not stop it until he bled the Deced in the Arm, and
then it Gradually stopped, Says that Deced did not
charge Mr. Kirkwood with striking her or causing her
Nose to Bleed, but that Mr. Kirkwood said he could
not rest for her, and pointed to his Arm where he said
Deced had Pincked him, Says that the Deced's Eye was
Bruised which did not appear to be fresh, Says that
he called upon the Deced about Twelve o'Clock at Noon
on Tuesday when the Deced opened the Door to him
said she was better, and had rested tolerably well
but appeared to be low, Says that he did not see
the Deced afterwards until Mr. Rouffee fetched him
to Deced about Eight that Evening, when he found
the Deced in Mr. Kirkwood's Arm in her Back Room
Says that She had no Pulse and that she was dead,
and Dept. is of opinion that the Deced died in
Consequence of the Bruise upon her Nose and the
great loss of Blood, and thinks that the Bruise
on the Nose must have been received by a blow
Says that he [..] heard the Deced aggravate Mr.
Kirkwood several times when he was same and
attended by Dept. and that he often admonished
her for that Behaviour And Dept. says that Mr.
Kirkwood appeared to be much concerned at
the Deced's death, And Dept. says that the Deced appeared
to be Shiped when he first found her Bleeding, but Dept.
did not think her to be much in Liquor

Hannah Allen< no role > Wife of Thomas Allen< no role > Victualler at the
Sign of the Bull in St. Ann's Court on her Oath saith
that Mary Kirkwood< no role > the Deced used to drink a Glass
of Anniseed frequently in Depts. House, and that she
called for a Glass of Anniseed there on Tuesday last
between six & seven o'Clock in the Evening, but
Deced did not drink it all, being then low and weak
a Dept. thought.
