Hand spike in his hand and he put that at the head of the
Berge belevix the Campshed with a veiw to save the Bage
running against the Bank and the Hand spike by a sudden jerk quitted him & hethe force of the Bage through
himwas there by thrown and fall over into the water, the Barge then went astern and
in returning again went ovr the Deced, Deponent and other
People tried to find him for some time that Evening but
without success, andinthe next Morning about 5 o'Clock they
formed the Deced about a hundred Yards distanced from wher he fall
