Thomas Lodger< no role > of Warden Street lodging with
Mr. Upther, Plaisterer , On his Oath saith, That he was
working for Mr. Robert Wilmot< no role > at the Hence of Mr
Dingwall in St. James's Street on Saturday the 29th Day
of Septr. last Says that a heap of Mortar lay in the Street near
said Hence part of which he

used that day, Says that
there was left in the Street that night about Eight or
Nine Hodds of that Mortar and that it was then so
soft that a Person might drive a Wheel barrow
thro it, and Dept belives that a Coach could not
be Overturned by that Mortar.

Penelope Stokins< no role > Nurse at the Westmr. Hospital on
her Oath Saith, that on Saturday Night between Eleven
and twelve O'Clock the 20 Septr. last Deced was brought to said Hospital
as a Casualty, Says that the Deced was Examined that
Night by Mr. Lord the House Surgeon in presence of Dept.
when Deceds left Leg was broke, Says that Mr. Lord Dressed
it, and that Mr. Pyle the Surgeon afterwards dressed it
and Deponent beleves that all proper care was taken of
Deced in said Hospital but Deced died there about two
of the Clock on Sunday last, and Deponent believes
that his Death was occasioned by his Leg bury broke
Says that Deced told her that his Leg was broke as he
drove his Coach along St. James's Street , but whether he
said that the Coach was Overturned by that he fell off the
Coach box Deponent cannot tell,
