Informations taken this Ninth day of
October 1764 at the Parish of St. Margaret with in
the City and Liberty of Westmr . on an Inquisition
taken on View of the Body ofLonatham Joseph

John Dingwall< no role > of St. James Street in the parish
of St. James Westmr. Jeweller on his Oath saith,
that on Sunday Morning the thirtieth day of September
last Deponent was informed by Mr. Pugh his Neighbour
that a Coachman in drivers on Emp Canot [..] James Street< no role > had Reced a Hurt and broke his Leg
in the Street near Dept. Door, but whether the Coach was
Overturned, or the Coachman thrown off the Coach box
Mr Pugh did not inform Dept. to the best of Mr. Dingworth
Remembrance, Says that he immediately want to the
Westmr. Hospital and Saw the Deced there who informed
Dept. that he reced a Hurt, and broke his Leg, as he [..]
a Hackney Coach down St. James Street , and thinks that
the Deced told Dept. that the Coach was overturned, but
car not be certain, Says that on Monday Octr. the first
Deponent, at the desire of he Deced, Called on Mr. Ram [..]
the owner of the said Coach and Horses , when Mr. Ramsey
informed Deponent that the Coach Which Deced drove
was not hurt, and that he would employ Deced against
when he recovered, and that Deced was a Sober Mans
Deponent says that some Workmen were repairing
his House in St. James Street, and that a small Heap
of Mortor used by the Plaisterers lay in the Street near
Deced's Door that when the Accident happened, that
the same was soft and this Coach Wheels passed this it on [..]
the 28th. Septr. Deponent did not observe the Mortor on the
29th. Septr. but says that he ordered his Servant to spread [..]
on the 30th. and that the Mortar on the inside was then
Soft, but Dept cannot say whether it might occasion [..]
