Beet Street in the Parish of St. James , Deponent found
some difficulty on Account of the length of the piece of Timber
Says that in order to get along Deponent took hold
of the Middle Horse, and at that instant he sawthe
fore end of the piece of Timber
[..] strike the Deced head &the Deced fall close to [..]
the Iron Rails of a House in Beet Street & Deponent believes that he was Struck by the fore end of the piece of Timbeand Deced immediately fell down,Says
that Deced was immediately taken upon and Deponent
saw that he bled much, Says that he afterwards kept
with his Horses, and heard some Persons that stood there
say that Deced was Dead, and Deponent believes that
his Death was occasioned by the hurt he reced from
the said piece of Timber. Deponent says that he did not
see the Deced until the time that he reced the hurt, nor
does he know from whence the Deced came.

Saith that the Horses and Truck which the above named
John Sampson< no role > was driving on Monday last, and drawing
a piece of Timber, were the Property of Deponent, and
that the said piece of Timber was the Property of Mason
Cornish of little Marlborough Street in the Parish of St.
James Carpenter , and believe it might be of the Name of twelvestwentyShillings.
