Informations taken this eleventh Day
of June 1762 at the parish of Saint James within
the Liberty of Westminster on an Inquisition on
View of the Body of Leonard Thompson< no role > an
Infant about the age of four years.

John Muller< no role > of Market Lane Hatter on his
Oath Saith that on Wednesday last in the afternoon
he with her assistants was at work in his Cellar
next the Street near the Window, a Copper of
planking Liquor which is near the Window being
thenHotscalding Hot and the Rail which crosses
the Window being down. says he heard Something
fallintothe plank and then into the Liquor
and turning round to the Copper observed a Childs
Cloaths upon the Surface of the Liquor, Whereupon
be immediately took the Child out, and then
discovered it was the deced (whose Father lodges in
Deponents House) says with the assistance of some
of his Workmen be pulled off the deceds Cloaths
but not his shirt and delivered him directly to Mary Motram< no role > [..] his
Servant maid. says be cryed upon to being taken
out of the Copper and asked for his Daddy. says be
made no Observation then about any Scalds on the
Child.saybut saw the deced Yesterday after his
Death, when he observed be was scalded in the
Face and on the left Arm.

Mary< no role > the Wife of Jonathan Motram< no role > Servant to
John Muller on her Bath Saith that on Wednesday
in the afternoon, or hearing that a child was fallen
into the Copper of Liquor She went into the Cellar
and took the Child which proved the deced out of her
Master's Arms, its Shirt and Breeches being on
says as she was carrying the deced up Stairs she
was met by his Brother a Boy of thirteen, and she
delivered him to his said Brother who as Dept. believes
carried deced to his Mother. says She did not see the
