that the Dept.decedsSister was led the deced
says that she observed a Bruise on the right side
of his Face, another on the right Shoulder, and one
on the right Elbow; says when she saw deced on
the Monday Evening she is certain there were no
Bruises about his Face, she having then wiped his
Face and taken particular Notice of it; says that
after washing the deced he was laid out, during which
time her Brother John Bisset< no role > came in, and went
up Stairs, and on Seeing the Bruises asked the
Father how he came by them, but she cannot recollect
the particular Answer he made. says that they
came down Stairs, leaving the deced's Father alone
with the Corpse says she saw the Father go in and out
Several times after the death of deced; andsaysthat when
the searchers came, after resisting sometime, he admitted
them to go and Search the deced.

Dept. and his Fellow Apprentice Thomas Hoare< no role >
were sent up Stairs by Sarah Hill< no role > to know how
the deced did, says that the deced desired the
bed Cloaths which covered his Face might be
removed from him, says he removed the Cloaths
and the deceds Father replaced them and by deceds desire
Dept. removed them again which the Father returned
every time Dept. took the Cloaths from deceds Face
says deced desired to be set up upon his Backside
which he attempted but, deceds Father would not
let him, says they staid there about ten minutes
and then came down and informed Mrs. Hill of it
that about twelve o' Clock Dept. his Fellow apprentices
his Mistress and her Sister Mrs. Hill went up to deceds
Apartment, and found him in the Bed, the Bed Cloaths
wrapped round him, in part of him being visible,
says that before the Lodgers came into Room his
Mistress and her Sister up folded the deced says he was
not near enough to Observe any marks on the deced, nor did Dept.
was not near enough to observe any Marks on
the deced, nor did Dept. see deced till next Morning
when he saw a Bruise on the right Temple and on
the left side;

been in a bad State of Health for about four
Years, says on which Account he was carried to
Bath and from thence to Bristols and was an
In patient in Saint Thomas's Hospital last Summer
and after being Sometime at Home became an In
patient at Guys Hospital, and last Winter was
an Out patient, and worked that winter with
Mr. Moore in Newgate Street , that about a fortnight
last past he was taken very ill, and took to his
Bed last Thursday; says that for some short time
a Woman who worked for deced, attended him; says
that after the went away deponent attended him
and was at Home with deced last Sunday when
he was very bad; and Dept. gave deced some Salts
by the directions of Mr. She l born a Chymist in
Brewer's Street , says that in the afternoon he
had two Stools, says that he deced was very helpless
with respect to his Limbs says deced dyed about
twelve o' Clock on Monday Night, deponent being
in the Bed with himsays that on Monday Morning
between eleven & twelve he came to this publick House
and there staid about an hour and helf, then
went home and found the deced in Bed as he left
him, and deced being inclinable to Sleep, desired
Deponent to draw the Certain, which Dept. did

staid there till near five in the afternoon, when
