the Floor at the Foot of the Bed, between that and
a Table, and Dept. took deced up and put him into
Bed Mrs. Bissett being present, says that the
times Dept. left the deced and went to the public
House he left the Key in the Door says that
after deced was in bed the he eat part of a mutton
Pye and drank Some Calm Tea & Wine, says
he did bot leave the Room afterwards but went to
Bed between Seven and eight, and deced being
restless he put a Chair by the Bedside to keep him
in; says he soon after went to sleep and did not
waken till about twelve o' Clock when he
found the deced dead by his Side; says that he
got up and dressed himself, and went for Candles
to a Chandlers shop hard by, and on his return
was met with by Mrs Bisset who asked Dept
how his son did; and Dept. informed her he hoped
he was happy, that he was dead, that she then
followed Dept. up Stairs and both went into Room
and Dept. saw Son in the Bed in the same manner
he left him, his Head being on the pillow and plainly
to be seen above the Cloths; Says he saw no bruises
when deced was laid out and washed.

Oath Saith that on Monday Night Between eleven
and twelve, Dept. being at a neighbours house
was informed by one of his Family that deced was dead,
and was desired to come home to help to lay him, but as
he did not like to assist in such an affair Dept did not
go home says that about half an hour after he went
home, and was desired by his Wife to go up Stairs
and he accordingly went, and found the deced upon
the Sacking of the Bed his wife Sister and two of his
Lodger being in the Room, as also the deceds Father
says he observed the right Side of the deceds Head to be
bruised, and a bruise on the left make, upon which he
asked [..] the Father how the deced became bruised
see the deced till the next day, in the Morning, when
he saw a Bruise on the right Temple, and another
on the left side of his Body.
