On the Prosecution of Robert
Anderson for Pettit Larceny

Robert Anderson< no role > of the Suthing House in Cleaveland
Row in the Parish of Saint James within the City and
Liberty of Westminster Victualler maketh oath and
saith that at the General Quarter Session of the
Peace for the said City and Liberty holden on the
24th. day of October 1793 be this Deponent preferred
a Bill of Indictment against the above named Sarah
Williams
< no role > for stealing a Pewter Quart for the property
of him this Deponent which Bill was formed true
That he this Deponent being at that Time under the
Care of a Physician & an Apothecary for an illness
with which he had for a long Time been afflicted did not
attend the Court till half past Ten o'Clock the next
morning when to his great Astonishment he found that
the prisoner had been discharged-And this Deponent
further saith That what is before stated is the time
& only reason of his not attending the Court time
rough to give Evidence agt. the Prisoner
