We the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Martin in
in the Fields within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex Do hereby
Certify that Hugh Morgan< no role > of the said Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields Yeoman
hath given sufficient Security to indemprify our said Parish from the Charges which
arose on Account of the lying in of Elizabeth Tormkins< no role > Singlewoman and the Maintenance
of the Male Bastard Child born of her Body in our said Parish on the Twenty third
day of January last And do Consent and desire that he may be discharged from the
Recognizance in which he Should bound to answer the Complaint of the Church wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of our said Parish for begetting the abovesaid Elizabeth
Tomkins< no role > with Child as she made Oath
