To wit.


To the Constable, Headborough , Tythingman,and other Officers of
the Peace of the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr. in
the County of Middlesex and also to the Gover-
nour or Master of the House of Correction , at TothillFeilds
within the said Parish and likewise to all
Governours or Masters of all Houses of Correction whom it may con-
cern to receive and convey ; and to the Church-wardens, Chapel-
wardens, or Overseers of the Poor of the Parish, Place, or Pre-
cinct of Ragbey in the County of York
or either of them, to receive and obey.

WHEREAS John Townshend< no role > aged about Thirty
seven Years was
apprehended in the said Parish of St. Margaret
Westminster as a Rogue and
Vagabond - and brought before Me One of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of
the Peace for this City & Liberty and upon Examination of the said
John Townshend< no role >
taken before me upon Oath, it doth
appear that [..] the said John Townshend< no role >
is a Rogue and Vagabond within the true Intent
and Meaning of the Statute in that Case made and provided; and that the
last Legal place of Settlement of the said John
Townshend is in the said Parish Town or Place of
Rugbey in Yorkshire

THESE are therefore to require you the said Constable , Headborough
Tythingman, or other Officer of the Peace , to convey the said John
Townshend
to the House of Correction at Tothill Feilds in the said Parish of Saint
Margarets and you the said Governour or Master of the said House of Cor-
rection, to receive the said John Townshend< no role > into
Your Custody, and him to convey or cause to be conveyed
to the first House of Correction in the next County or Place in the direct
Way to the said Parish or Town of Rugbey in Yorkshire
and in like Manner, every other Governour or Master of every House of
Correction to whom it may belong to convey the said John Townshend< no role >
from House of Correction to House of Correction , until he
shall arrive at the House of Correction belonging to the County,
Riding , City, Borough, Town-Corporate, Division, or Liberty, to which
the said Parish, Town, or Place of Rugbey in Yorkshire
doth belong, and the
Master or Governour of the said House of Correction last mentioned, to
convey and deliver or cause to be conveyed and delivered the said John
Townshend to some Church-warden Chapel-
warden or Overseer of the Poor of the Parish or Town of Rugbey in
Yorkshire to be there provided for accord-
ing to Law : And you the said Church-wardens, Chapel-wardens and Over-
seers of the Poor are hereby required to receive the said Person - and provide
for him as aforesaid. GIVEN under my Hand - and Seal - this
Tenth Day of April in the Year of our Lord
One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty One
