has since received such Assent) under which every Proprietor
of Land through which the Canal is intended to pass will be
entitled to one share for each furlong not exceeding 10 shares in
the whole to each Proprietor And such intended Canal passing)
through the Hospital Estates in the Counties of Bucks Herts
and Middlesex And the Hospital being entitled to six shares
provided its determination to accept the same should be
signified within a limited time

That your Committee being of opinion that it would by for
the benefit of the Hospital to accept of such Shares had
desired the Treasurer to pay the instalments for the
same according to the terms of the act

Gratuity given by
Treasurer


That Edward Jeffries< no role > Esq. .. the Treasurer of this Hospital
hath at his own request invested a Sum of £2000 Old
South Sea Annuities of his own Property in the Names
of Benjamin Way< no role > Esq. . Benjamin Harrison< no role > Esq. . and
himself as his Security during his continuance in his
Office

ordd. to the

We have ordered to the Parish of Great Parndon in
Essex in which this Hospital has considerable Property
a Gratuity of £20 towards the expence incurred in
