Borough (late held by Mr. Cawley under a Lease to Mr.
Abraham Jordan< no role > which will expire at Lady day 1794 at a
Rent of £8 Per Annum) for a term of 61 Years to commence
from Lady day 1792 at a Rent of £110 Per Annum clear
of the Landtax and all other taxes such Rent to commence
from Lady day 1793. Mr. Holmer and his Partners to
expend £1000a £1200at least in erecting a Dwelling house
or Dwelling houses in front and other substantial Buildings
behind to the satisfaction of the Hospital Surveyor and to
insure at £1000. Mr. Bunnett informing the Committee
that Mr. Cawley had agreed to surrender his Lease and to pay
Mr. Bunnett and his Partners a certain Sum towards such
Buildings as a compensation for the destruction of the former
houses by Fire which he had omitted to insure which it was
incumbent upon him to do under the Covenants of his Lease
provided the Committee would agree to accept such Surrender
and grant them such Lease.
