The Lord Mayor was pleased
to acquaint the Court That the defraying the
great Charges of this Hospital depending on the
Benefactions of the Governors It is the constant
Practice at every Genl: Court to recommend
Subscriptions

For which purpose his Lordship ord
ered the Clerk to attend the Governors present
with the Subscription Book which was accordingly
done And there was subscribed as follows (Vizt.)

The Right. Honble: the Lord Mayor £50.-
Sr Robt: Baylis< no role > Knt : & Aldn : Additl:100.-
Walter Bernard< no role > Esqr Aldn : & Sheriff 50.-
Samuel Pennant< no role > Esqr Aldn . & Sheriff : 100.-
William Fauquier< no role > Esqr 50.-
Mr Richard Tonson< no role > 50.-

Then the Court proceeded to Elect a President
of this Hospital in the room of Sr John Eyles< no role >
Bart : deced

And it being moved & the Question put
that Sr Robt: Baylis< no role > Knt & Alderman be chosen
President

[..] en President in ye
[..] of Sr John Eyles Bart
[..] d.


The said Sr Robt: Baylis was unan
imously elected to be President of this Hospital
in the room of Sr John Eyles Bart deced

And Sr Robt: Baylis being present was
pleased to accept the said Office

Moved that the thanks of this Court
be given the said Sr Robert Baylis for such his
acceptance which being unanimously resolved,
my Lord Mayor gave him thanks accordingly
